Rainmaker Acquires Mainframe Entertainment, Hires Mischel

Vancouver, British Columbia - Rainmaker, having acquired Mainframe Entertainment Inc. in a deal concluded last month, announced that Rick Mischel will serve in a new role as an executive producer with a first look deal at Rainmaker. Mischel, who was the CEO of Mainframe for the last four years, was instrumental in the sale of the company and will move to his new role effective immediately.
"I'm excited about the opportunity to return to a more entrepreneurial, producer role with the newly combined company," says Mischel. "With the sale of Mainframe to Rainmaker, I accomplished my goals for the growth and long-term viability of Mainframe, and I'm glad I can continue to contribute to the merged companies' success."
Mischel will executive produce several of Rainmaker's current slate of projects, as well as bring in new projects under a first look deal with the new company.

Mischel will also further develop and executive produce Atomic Puppet, Ghost Hunter Dax, Moonsurfers, and continue shepherding Harriet the Spy, as well as develop a number of feature and direct-to-DVD projects.
