iStockphoto Presents User-generated Stock Video Collection

Calgary, Canada - iStockphoto, a leading community-powered marketplace for stock photography and illustrations, is now also selling stock video clips.
iStock began accepting video, film, and animation submissions on July 31 and in just over a month has approved more than 2000 clips for sale. Rather than one hundred dollars per clip or more, iStock is offering 30-second, Web-ready clips starting at $5.

The new video clips can be viewed and purchased online at www.iStockvideo.com.

iStockphoto, boasting more than one million members globally, serves clients ranging from advertisers to corporate and government video producers to hobbyists creating mash-ups.

“We have been asked to offer video for years and the response has been overwhelming in both volume and excellence,” says Bruce Livingstone, founder and CEO. “We expect that iStockvideo will save existing producers money, but just like with images, these price points may also broaden the demand for stock video to small business owners, nonprofit managers and marketing professionals who were priced out before.”

iStock continues to welcome new member artists wanting to monetize their stock footage, film clips, and animations. Visit www.iStockvideo.com for details on technical standards for submissions, royalties, intellectual property concerns.
