Tien Yang is an artist, an animator, a director (film), and an educator. He is the Head of Feature Animation, School of Design at Nanyang Polytechnic and is currently on a scholarship doing a MFA degree at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco.
Yang's work is based on phenomenology, constantly seeking approaches that open up to more creative possibilities through work on perceptual issues--the two principal areas of focus being visual and character animation. Some of the software programs that Yang uses include: Painter, Maya Paint, Elastic Reality, Aftereffects, Premiere, Retimer.
