Artist: R. Shamms Mortier
R. Shamms Mortier produced this image for an album cover for his band Science Fixion. Mortier, whose main job is running his graphics and animation company Eyeful Tower Communications (Bristol, VT), used a number of tools to create the image. He used Caligari's trueSpace2 to craft the spider, Fractal's Poser to make the background dancers, and MetaTools' KPT to do the sky. The foreground head was created with Humanoid software in Lightwave on the PC, and he used Aladdin-4D on the Amiga to sculpt and texture other foreground elements. Finally, he used Photoshop to put it all together, adding a few finishing touches with Painter.
