Reflections
Aivaras Sondeckis is a graphics artist with the VRS Advertising Agency in Lithuania. This image of a sinking house is one several that he created for the film "Elze" by the Lithuanian Film Studio in Vilnius, Lithuania.
The scene of a house sinking in a freezing river was originally intended to be filmed with a real house. "The real house was built on ice," explains Sondeckis. "But it was impossible to shoot these scenes because the house would not sink. Explosions did not crash it. So I modeled the house completely in 3D Studio Max, exactly as it was in reality and composed the scenes on the ice." The ice shots are not shown here.
