Richard Bucci
Artist: Richard Bucci
Richard Bucci, who was our featured artist in the Feb. 1996 "Image of the Month," has been working professionally in the computer-graphics industry since 1986. He created this image, called "Caught Taking a Break," mostly with Raydream Studio. He did some post-production work in Photoshop to blur slightly the depth of field and to composite the sky. Bucci also says he used a mix of procedural and bitmap texture maps. "The tree bark maps among others were created in Photoshop and then combined with procedurals in Raydream's shader mixer. Some shaders, such as the wood grain, are straight procedurals. A few are bitmap only." For more examples of his work, go to Bucci's
