Cinegy, Munich-based developers of video, broadcast, asset management, workflow, codecs, and OEM solutions for international broadcasters and equipment vendors, is supporting NAB’s Going Green initiative by providing exhibitors and attendees with lanyards made entirely from recycled materials. The NAB Going Green initiative is designed to encourage everyone who takes part in NAB to do so in a way that minimizes environmental impact.
“Wise
stewardship of the environment is not only an important ethical
concern, it is also sound business practice,” says Cinegy managing director Daniella Weigner. “We applaud NAB for their efforts to run the
NAB Show 2009 in an environmentally responsible manner and are proud to
have the opportunity to lend our support.”
Cinegy is exhibiting in Booth SU3121.
To reduce its own environmental
impact, the 2009 NAB Show will limit its printed media and instead will
rely more heavily on electronic communications. Participants will
receive Expocards made from recycled materials, biodegradable badge
holders, and conference bags made from 51 percent post-consumer recycled
materials. Similar efforts last year enabled NAB to divert 124 tons of
post-show waste.
