CET Universe, a provider of services, systems, and solutions for professional audio and video production, has launched the latest installment of its Constellation VCM asset and storage management system, which provides real-time management of digital assets for single and multiple facility organizations.
CET Universe's Constellation 5.6, which is available immediately, builds on the features of Constellation, which launched in March 2009. Constellation is the first digital asset management system to leverage next-generation enterprise tiered storage techniques, including partial file restores from an archive, without the requirement of additional third-party systems. It is also the first system of its kind to include digital fingerprinting technology that creates an intelligent traveling asset.
CET is demonstrating the Constellation 5.6 system during NAB 2011 in Las Vegas, from Monday, April 11 to Thursday, April 14 at the Trump International Hotel and Tower, 3128 South Las Vegas Boulevard, with open general product demonstrations from 12:00-2:00 pm each day.
Constellation 5.6 is a complete integrated digital asset management solution that provides storage management, archive management, asset management, and workflow automation for professional environments. The user interface offers full search, retrieval, and manipulation of video and project files, without the requirement to touch original digital master source content. The system offers complete, integrated file-based workflows for Avid, Final Cut Pro, and others, as well as storyboard capabilities. A new EDL interface enables assembly of multiple clips for export from archive to any editing, storage or transcoding, or digital delivery system.
