GUILDFORD, UK — Imagineer Systems has partnered with CoreMelt to integrate Imagineer’s Planar Tracker into SliceX, the shape masking plug-in for FCP X.
SliceX was demonstrated at the Imagineer Systems booth in the Plug In Pavilion.
Imagineer's relationship with CoreMelt is the most recent in a string of partnerships in which industry leading post production technology developers have recognized the value of Imagineer's Planar Tracking and software developer's kit (Planar Tracker SDK). In recent months, Imagineer has entered into strategic partnerships and licensing agreements with companies such as Adobe Systems, Silhouette, Quantel and FXhome.
Additionally, Imagineer Systems previewed new versions of mocha Proand mocha AE during NAB 2013. In the new mocha v3.2 versions, Imagineer adds internationalization and localization support, which includes translated interface and documentation versions of mocha 3.2 for Chinese and Japanese language, as well as a new toolkit made available for additional language versions in the future.
mochav3.2 also adds support for Contour ShuttlePro controllers to allow artists more options, shortcuts and a speedier workflow.
During NAB 2013, Imagineer Systems hosted renowned VFX industry experts in their booth, demonstrating the value of mocha in their workflow. Guest presenters included:

- Roger Bolton, CoreMelt: Roger is the founder of CoreMelt and a visual effects veteran with over 15 years experience in post production and whose list of feature film credits include "Lord of the Rings," "Kingdom of Heaven" and "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." Roger has worked as a visual effects supervisor, senior flame operator and lead compositor all over Asia as well as in the UK and Australia. Roger presented SliceX, the Final Cut Pro X masking plug-in now powered by mocha's planar tracking engine.
Imagineer's Mary Poplin also demonstrated mocha Pro. Mary is an experienced visual effects artist who has worked on major 3D Hollywood feature films such as The Last Airbender, Gullivers Travels, and Jackass 3D. As Imagineer Systems' west coast product specialist, Mary consults with studios and provides hands on training to help evangelize the power of mocha and planar tracking.
