Hollywood Post Alliance (HPA) will host its third-annual education event for industry professionals and their collaborative partners in postproduction on August 4-5 at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles
This year's event will focus on understanding how the work flows and the impact of production choices on postproduction.
Each year, the informative/networking event presents material in a practical way that can be immediately applied to one's own job. This year's agenda will explore a number of key topics moderated by industry experts:
- Stephanie Argy, journalist and independent filmmaker, will present tutorials on how consumer level DV and HDV is entering the professional workflow.
- HD pioneer. Randall Dark, president of HD Vision Studios, will present a tutorial on the high-definition acquisition and workflow choices.
- Disney's Howard Lukk, executive director of production technology, will present an update on the new cinema digital cameras and how they are impacting major production choices and workflow.
- Leon Silverman, HPA president and president of LaserPacific Media Corp., will conduct a session on Film in the Digital Age and how the choice of film continues to evolve with powerful new tools and options.
