Marlborough, Mass. - Boris FX, a developer of integrated effects technology for video and film, is now shipping Boris Continuum Complete Sparks Version 3.0 (BCC Sparks 3.0).
The new release moves the BCC Sparks filter set to the latest version of Linux and supports the current line-up of compositing and finishing systems from Autodesk: Flint, Flame, Inferno, and Smoke, with added support for Burn network rendering.
BCC 3.0 combines Volumes I and II to give Autodesk users access to 130-plus filters including the popular Glint, Glitter, and Glare series, Lens Flare, Film Process, Film Damage, Particle Systems, Volumetric Lighting Rays, and Wipe effects. The BCC Sparks 3 package also includes in the Boris built-in Motion Tracking and Optical Flow technology for smooth image retiming.
The new BCC Sparks release includes more than 1500 preset effects, accelerating the overall effects production workflow. The BCC Sparks package also comes equipped with the Boris PixelChooser, simplifying the creation of track mattes, pixel-based masks, and region/garbage masks. Using PixelChooser, artist can apply any BCC filter to an image clip and control exactly how the effect is composited or blended with the original pixels based on pixel or region values. The BCC product offers users multiple clip inputs with every filter for front, back, and matte generation enabling compositing within the spark.
BCC Sparks 3.0 is designed to support the Autodesk Discreet Advanced Systems 2008 series and is available through Boris FX worldwide reseller channel and direct through Boris FX Web site at www.borisfx.com for $2495 (new), and $695 (upgrade).
