Los Angeles - Eyetronics, an international provider of high-resolution scanning services and animation-ready 3D models for feature films, television, commercials, and computer games, has provided 3D scanning for some of Hollywood’s most highly anticipated summer releases.
Eyetronics scanning technology was chosen to capture the images of Nicole Kidman for The Invasion, Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker for Rush Hour 3, and Nicolas Cage for Next, as well as a massive cargo ship and docking area for Next and koi for a fish pond featured in Ocean’s 13.
John Sullivan, visual effects supervisor on Next, says, “When, at the last minute, I needed a 500-foot-long ship and dock scanned, the Eyetronics system was mobile, quick and adaptable. It allowed me to get the scan done in the time frame I had before the ship left the harbor.”
Eyetronics provided 3D scanning for Midway Games next generation action game Stranglehold, featuring Hong Kong movie legend Chow Yun-Fat and directed by John Woo. Eyetronics also provided 3D scanning for BioWare’s latest game Mass Effect and scanned more than 1400 Major League Baseball players for the recently released Sony/SCEA game, The Show, and 2K Sports game Major League Baseball 2K7.
