Honolulu - PipelineFX, makers of Qube! render-farm management software for film production, game development, and digital media education, has released support for Autodesk Maya version 2008.
Maya 2008 was released on September 17, 2007 by Autodesk’s Media and Entertainment division. The latest version of the product focuses on providing improved workflow efficiency for artists in the film, television, game development, design, and manufacturing industries.
Qube! now supports Maya 2008 via an updated “jobtype.” Qube! ships with an array of custom job types for 2D and 3D applications, including Maya, 3ds Max, and many more.
Each job type contains a submission GUI integrated into the application itself, a submission form for the queue management GUI, a command-line submission tool, and a backend execution module developed to interface directly with the application.
The custom job types make job submission simple and easy for artists. The job types also reduce the time for integrating internal production pipelines with Qube! by including ready-made interfaces and execution backends.
Qube! version 5.2.1 contains the new Maya 2008 job type and is available immediately for download by Qube! customers under support from the PipelineFX FTP site.
