San Jose, Calif. - Blackmagic Design Inc. announced that Digidesign, a part of Avid Technology Inc., has certified its DeckLink HD Extreme card for use with Pro Tools|HD 8 and Pro Tools LE 8 on Mac OS X Leopard.

With Blackmagic Design's DeckLink HD Extreme, Pro Tools users can now monitor most common QuickTime HD and SD video formats directly from their Pro Tools video track out to high-end professional video monitoring devices, such as broadcast monitors, large screen LCDs, or plasmas.
