Paris, France - The Abvent Group, editor of Artlantis software, has partnered with Bionatics and released the CD Bionatics Pines & Conifers.
Plants have an impact on virtually every urban project, says a company representative. Architects, city planners, and landscapers need to simulate plants in the most accurate way to present their projects.
Abvent entered a long-term partnership with Bionatics to develop a new collection of trees and plants for Artlantis. These optimized 3D plants will take advantage of the features of Artlantis, managing four seasons for deciduous leaves, plants, and normal mapping technology for more realistic visualization.
The entire collection will be adapted to the Artlantis File format in a CD collection. The Pines & Conifers (26 plants) CD will be released first, and Mediterranean Plants (with roughly 25 plants) will follow.
"The worldwide Bionatics plants collection is more complete and more realistic [than others in] the 3D industry market," says Stephane Gourgout, sales and marketing manager of Bionatics, "thanks to this partnership, Artlantis users will benefit from the high quality of Artlantis renders and from the botanic realism of Bionatics plants, to easily obtain excellent images and animations."
