The all-CG animated follow-up to the $190 million box office smash Open Season, Open Season 2 features top-notch voice talent including Joel McHale (E!’s “The Soup”), Mike Epps (The Honeymooners), Jane Krakowski (TV’s “30 Rock”), Billy Connolly (X Files: I Want to Believe), Crispin Glover (Back to the Future), and Steven Schirripa (TV’s “The Sopranos”).
Inspired by the humor of Steve Moore, creator of the nationally syndicated comic strip, “In the Bleachers,” Open Season 2 follows the “wild animals” as they face the “domestic pets” in a battle for everyone’s favorite wiener dog, Mr. Weenie, and introduces a new set of furry characters including Fifi (Glover), the bitter toy poodle, and Roberto (Schirripa), a basset hound with a slobbering problem. The fun-filled adventure continues with deleted scenes, a behind-the-scenes feature showing all the magic (and fur) behind the creation of the family classic and an exclusive animated music video set to “Who Let The Dogs Out?” by Baja Men. On the DVD, kids can enjoy exciting interactive carnival games with the “Wacky Weenie Arcade” featuring Elliot’s “Go Fetch!” Frisbee game, “Fix That Doo” doggie glam up activities, and more.
Synopsis:
After falling head over hooves in love with Giselle (Krakowski), Elliot's (McHale) road to the altar takes a slight detour when Mr. Weenie (Cody Cameron) is kidnapped by a group of pampered pets determined to return him to his owners. Boog (Epps), Elliot, McSquizzy (Connolly), Buddy, and the rest of the woodland creatures launch a full-scale rescue mission for their sausage-shaped friend and soon find themselves in enemy camp: the world of the pets. Led by a toy poodle named Fifi (Glover), the pets do not plan to let Mr. Weenie go without a fight. Can a toy poodle bring down a 900-pound grizzly bear? Will Elliot ever marry Giselle? Find out in Open Season 2.
