Vancouver, B.C. - Rainmaker Entertainment has been nominated for seven
awards in the 2nd Annual ELAN Awards presented by the Canadian Awards
for the Electronic and Animated Arts (CAEAA).
Rainmaker swept the nominations in two categories including Best Feature Length Animated Production and Best Direction in a Feature Length Animated Production for "Barbie as the Island Princess," "Barbie Fairytopia: Magic of the Rainbow," and "Max Steel: Countdown." Rainmaker also received a nomination for Best Production Design Or Art Direction for "Max Steel: Countdown."
"It's an embarrassment of riches. To have so much of our work get nominatedis a huge honor for everyone at Rainmaker," says Paul Gertz, executive vice president of Rainmaker. "Plus, until the awards are announced next month,there¹s going to be a lot of healthy competition around the studio. It's awonderful morale booster!"
The ELAN awards, hosted by Seth "Family Guy" MacFarlane, will be presented on February 15th at The Centre in Vancouver for the Performing Arts. Rainmaker is currently in production on its next theatrical animated feature "Escape From Planet Earth." The Weinstein Company is financing the animated comedy and will handle worldwide theatrical distribution.
