The conceptual design firm will create branded content for advertising agencies, broadcast networks, big brands, and beyond.
Manhattan Born found its genesis on the streets of New York. Guided by the pioneering spirit of New Yorkers, Manhattan Born collaborates with international and local talent to address the varying needs of clients.
Manhattan Born’s Creative Director/founder is Paul Darragh. Serving as Executive Producer/founder is Casey Steele, a veteran producer who has worked with some of the top motion design studios in the United States, including Imaginary Forces, Fuel, and Brand New School.
Paul Darragh has contributed to and led many creative projects internationally over the last seven years. Born and educated in New Zealand with a background in fine arts and graphic design, Paul settled in New York after working in Melbourne, London, and Paris. His creative portfolio includes international ad campaigns, fashion stories, art directed magazines, and designed and conceptualized motion graphics, in the form of broadcast rebrands and commercial design. His clients have included Nike, MTV, HBO, K-Swiss, SyFy, Microsoft, XLR8R Magazine, Fast Company Magazine, Royal Elastics, BET, Redken, Mazda, and Hitachi. He contributed a large portion of experimental graphics for Rihanna's latest video 'Rude Boy' which was met with praise from global critics. He has been in gallery shows in Wellington (NZ), Melbourne, (AUS) London, and New York exhibiting his unique style of digital collage and paintings.
Casey Steele has more than 15 years experience working with motion graphics and conceptual design - his projects have ranged the gamut from commercials, network rebrands, show packaging, main titles, feature branding, trailers and event/concert design - his clients have included JWT, Chiat Day, Lowe Lintas, Goodby, Grey, Sony Pictures, Disney, ESPN, VH1, MTV, HBO, Sy Fy, Showtime and Warner Brothers.
