Winter Park, Fla. - Full Sail University announces that Royale, a design and production studio located in Hollywood, Calif., and co-founded by 1999 Full Sail University graduate Jayson Whitmore, along with business partners Brien Holman and Jen Lucero, received four gold PromaxBDA Awards in a ceremony held on June 22, 2010 at LA Live in Downtown Los Angeles, Calif.
Honoring design and marketing work in the promotions and advertising business, the PromaxBDA Awards recognize individuals and companies that are published, broadcast, or released in their respective markets. During this year’s award ceremony, Whitmore had the honor of receiving four gold awards on behalf of Royale for the following campaigns: McDonald’s Best Chance Monopoly, Comedy Central Rebrand Exploration, FuelTV Signature Series 24 Adam Haynes, and the Royale T-shirt Design.
Nell Thompson, vice president of Academic Affairs, is proud to celebrate yet another tremendous achievement with Jayson, a graduate of three of Full Sail’s degree programs and a member of the first Full Sail University Hall of Fame, and the entire staff at Royale. “All of the faculty who taught Jayson are so proud of his success and we are honored that Jayson is a part of our graduate family. He continues to inspire our current student body with his success in the industry.”
In addition, this summer Royale celebrated its third anniversary. The studio led by three partners--Whitmore, Holman, and Lucero--have a combined 20-plus years of diverse knowledge and hands-on involvement in the advertising industry.
“As we welcome year three, we’re honored that clients, new and existing, see us as a trusted creative partner,” says Whitmore. “We’re increasingly being asked to direct shoots or to spearhead complete production and design--which is a great way to demonstrate the kind of thinking clients get from us. Our vision for the company has never wavered: be passionate about what you do, find inspiration anywhere, and create a fun, relaxed environment for our clients and talent. We’re excited for what this next year has in store for us and are humbled by the recognition from the Broadcast Design Association.”
