Burbank, Calif. – Createasphere, producer of community-driven events and education for content creators, returns to New York for its third outing on September 21 and 22, 2010, presenting two full days of panels, exhibitions and networking.
September 21, the Createasphere Entertainment Technology Expo will present HOT VFX NYC, a panel discussion and screening with representatives from some of the most creative and successful visual effects companies and artists in New York. Moderated by Rob Morgenroth, Business Development Director of the Visual Effects Society (VES), the panelists will share experiences and show recent work. As visual effects grow increasingly integral to the entire life-cycle of content, from pre-production through post, the role of visual effects in a wide variety of content is expected to grow. The Createasphere panel represents a unique opportunity to interact with the top experts in a moderated conversation and see where creativity and technology is headed.
The companies represented on the panel are among the most respected in the industry, at work in feature films, games, music videos and commercials; Look Effects (Avatar, Step Up3D, Spiderman), Charlex (Will.I.am’s - Take Our Planet Back, Covergirl, BP, Sprint), Rhino-Gravity (Salt, GhostTown, Crash), and The Mill (Dr. Who, Nike spots, Kanye West’s - Heard ‘Em Say). Games, television, mobile, 3D, and feature films are all set for discussion.
The VES is the entertainment industry's only organization representing the full breadth of visual effects practitioners; artists, technologists, model makers, educators, studio leaders, supervisors, PR/marketing specialists, and producers working in all areas of entertainment including film, television, commercials, music videos, and games. Createasphere will host a VES Meet Up at the end of the day on September 21; details will be announced as the event nears.
Immediately following the Createasphere Entertainment Technology Expo, Createasphere presents its Digital Asset Management Conference on September 23 and 24. The Digital Asset Management Conference premiered in Los Angeles in February with great reviews and the participation of key industry players. The DAM New York event, a paid conference, will feature some of the most important organizations and companies in the DAM space including Showtime, MLB, The Smithsonian, The Whitney, Active Storage, Media Beacon, National Geographic and many more. Createasphere returns to The New Yorker Hotel in mid-town Manhattan for the events.
