Dell and Autodesk are working together to enable design and engineering professionals to be more competitive and creative.
The two companies have released a joint study that outlines the productivity gains that can result from upgrading hardware and design software. Survey results show that by moving from AutoCAD 2010 to 2015 and upgrading from a Dell Precision T1600 to a T1700 tower workstation, customers can achieve a productivity improvement of 92 percent. The study is available at: http://i.dell.com/sites/doccontent/shared-content/data-sheets/en/Documents/AutoCAD-Dell-2015_Productivity-Study-ver-05_FINAL.pdf.
In addition, Dell and Autodesk are now offering customers a complete professional CAD solution (hardware and software) for less than $1,000 for a fully tested and supported system. The companies are hoping this breakthrough price will encourage customers to upgrade now and experience the improvement in productivity. The bundle includes a Dell Precision T1700 small form factor workstation and AutoCAD LT (one-year annual desktop subscription).
