PLAYA VISTA, CA — Academy Award-winning visual effects studio Digital Domain (www.digitaldomain.com) has appointed O.D. Welch president. He will manage all aspects of the day-to-day operations at Digital Domain’s Playa Vista location and two Vancouver locations.
A 30-year industry veteran, Welch has extensive experience in visual effects and production management, and knows the entertainment business on a ground-up operational and financial basis.

Welch comes to Digital Domain having previously served in C-Level roles at Cameron Pace Group, Prime Focus Limited, and 525 Studios to name a few. He is also a member of the Producer’s Guild of America, the Visual Effects Society, the International 3D & Advanced Imaging Society, and a charter member of the Hollywood Post Alliance.
Founded in 1993, Digital Domain has delivered visuals for more than 100 movies, including X-Men: Days of Future Past, Maleficent, Iron Man 3, the Transformers trilogy, Tron: Legacy and Titanic.
