NEW YORK — The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) recently announced the nominees for the 44th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, which will be presented at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Sunday, April 30th. The Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Awards will by held at the venue on Friday, April 28th.
The Daytime Emmy Awards recognize outstanding achievement in all fields of daytime television production and are presented to individuals and programs broadcast from 2:00am to 6:00pm during the 2016 calendar year. The Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Awards gala honors more than 70 craft categories behind the many shows that grace the Daytime genre.
CBS leads all networks with 71 nominations, followed by Amazon (50), PBS (40), ABC (38), NBC (36) and Netflix (36). The Young and the Restless is the most nominated show, with 25, followed by The Bold and the Beautiful (23), General Hospital (23) and Days of Our Lives (22).
