Epic Games Releases Unreal Engine 4

SAN FRANCISCO — At GDC 2017, Epic Games released a brand new video profiling the advanced technical features available for developers in Unreal Engine 4. Unreal Engine is a complete suite of creation tools designed to meet ambitious artistic visions while being flexible enough to ensure success for teams of all sizes.
The new video highlights powerful tools, including photoreal character rendering, professional grade cinematography, high-performance VR at 90fps, access to the full editor in VR, lighting and editing via the Sequencer cinematic tool, flexible post-processing, Blueprint visual scripting, the visual Material Editor, GPU-accelerated particle simulations, full C++ source code and much more.

With Unreal, developers get everything, so they can build anything, including all tools, all features, all platforms, all source code, complete projects, sample content, regular updates and bug fixes.

Epic will be giving several in-depth talks surrounding key advancements in Unreal Engine technology this week, kicking off GDC with their annual “State of Unreal” opening session in Moscone West #3001 on Wednesday, March 1 at 9:30am PT. Those not attending the conference can catch the opening session live online via the Unreal Engine Twitch, Facebook and YouTube channels.
