LAS VEGAS – During the first day of NAB 2018, Blackmagic Design made a number of significant announcements across its product range.
The company unveiled DaVinci Resolve 15, with a massive update to the software, including an entirely new Fusion page that fully integrates visual effects and motion graphics. Resolve 15 is the first solution to combine professional offline and online editing, color correction, audio post production, multi-user collaboration and now visual effects together in one software tool. A public beta of DaVinci Resolve 15 will be available starting today and for immediate download from the Blackmagic Design website.
Blackmagic is also launching the all-new Pocket Cinema Camera 4K – a handheld digital film camera with full 4/3 HDR sensor, dual native ISO of up to 25,600 for incredible low-light performance, as well as 13 stops of dynamic range.
The company further showcased its ATEM Television Studio Pro 4K, its latest development in its switcher range. As well as eight independent 12G-SDI inputs, the all-in-one Ultra HD live production switcher has a built in Fairlight audio mixer and features an ATEM Advanced Chroma Keyer. Additionally, the firm is launching the Blackmagic MultiView 4 HD, and the second generation of its film scanner, Cintel Scanner 2.
And, the firm has a range of updates to its converters range including Blackmagic Mini Converter Optical Fiber 12G, Blackmagic Mini Converter UpDownCross HD, and Blackmagic Micro Converter BiDirectional SDI/HDMI.
