FREMONT, CA — Blackmagic Design has released Public Beta 2 of DaVinci Resolve 15 and DaVinci Resolve 15 Studio. Announced earlier this month at NAB, DaVinci Resolve 15 is an update that integrates Fusion, Blackmagic Design’s VFX and motion graphics solution, within the software.
By integrating Fusion, DaVinci Resolve 15 gives users a true 3D workspace with more than 250 tools for compositing, vector paint, particles, keying, rotoscoping, text animation, tracking and stabilization. Additionally, DaVinci Resolve 15 includes a major update to Fairlight audio, along with more than 100 new features and improvements for editing and color grading. These include a LUT browser, expanded HDR support, stacked timelines, subtitle and closed captioning tools, and new multi-user collaboration tools.
Public Beta 2 allows users to create sound libraries using the DaVinci Resolve disk database, adds basic HTML text formatting to subtitles, improves audio playback for clips with variable speed changes, addresses FairlightFX plug-in performance on all platforms and improves overall stability of the Fusion page. In addition, DaVinci Resolve 15 Public Beta 2 includes dozens of general performance enhancements and bug fixes that users have reported.
