MORRISVILLE, NC — Lenovo (lenovo.com) has introduced the ThinkPad P52, a new mobile workstation that will be available later this month. The ThinkPad P52 combines the legacy of ThinkPad build-quality and cutting-edge technology. The addition of the Nvidia Quadro P3200 GPU offers a significant increase in power to deliver Lenovo’s first 15-inch, VR-Ready Certified mobile workstation. And with the all new Intel Xeon hexa-core CPU, users can experience a level of power and performance unseen before in such a compact chassis.
With double the capacity of memory to 128GB and increased PCIe storage, the ThinkPad P52 is well suited for animation and visual effects project storage, large models and datasets, and realtime playback. The P52 also features a 4K Ultra high-definition panel that incorporates 100 percent of the Adobe color gamut. Connectivity includes the addition of a second Thunderbolt port to support the display of 8K video. It also allows users to take advantage of the ThinkPad Thunderbolt Workstation Dock.
Features include Windows 10 or Linux operating systems; up to Nvidia Quadro P3200 graphics; a 720p HD IR camera; and total memory of up to 128GB DDR4. The display is 15.6-inches and the starting weight is 5.4lbs.
