It’s been quite a year for VFX-heavy films, with a number of greatly anticipated sequels as well as new properties and new additions from studios that continue to crank out the hits.
Recently, the films vying for an Oscar in the Visual Effects category at the this year’s Academy Awards were narrowed down to 10. While there were a number of films to consider, it appears blockbuster VFX films were heavily favored.
On the 94th Oscar shortlist for the best VFX are:

The 2022 Academy Awards nominees will be announced will be announced February 8.
