Kicking off SIGGRAPH 2009, Brad Peebler, president and CEO of Luxology, has unveiled a modcast in which he interviews six-time Academy Award-winning special effects make-up artist Rick Baker. In this modcast, Baker explains how his childhood love for horror films translated into a full-time Hollywood job, providing fascinating insight on what it takes to create stunning and equally frightening monsters for motion pictures, specifically those with high-quality CG visual effects. Baker has been integrating CG software, including modo, ZBrush, and Photoshop, into his workflow for many years now, mostly in the creative design phase prior to physically creating his character.
