For the first time ever, the Henson Digital Puppetry Studio performs a digital character in real time stereoscopic 3D (depth effect with active shutter glasses). The Emmy-award winning technology behind the hit animated series “Sid the Science Kid” breaks new ground in real-time performed animation by rendering two full HD video streams, eye-distance apart, in parallel, to generate this new 3D experience.
Visitors to the booth hosted by technology partner Nvidia will wear the latest active shutter glasses and look at 3D monitors by Alienware. This display technology combined with the real time stereoscopic character performed by a Henson puppeteer immerses the viewer in a virtual environment as never experienced before.
