Lightworks, a supplier of rendering solutions for developers of advanced 3D computer graphics software, is unveiling new solutions which take advantage of the latest GPU technology, as well as Lightworks Alto, a new network/cloud rendering product. In booth 225, the company is also presenting the next release of Lightworks Author with new image-based lighting and tone mapping, as well as the latest version of Lightworks Artisan, which boasts an updated user interface among other features. Manuel Gamito, in the company’s development team, is presenting a paper, “Accurate Multi-Dimensional Poisson-Disk Sampling,” today at 3:30 pm in Room 502B. Lightworks has implemented OpenRL, the latest generation of technology from Caustic Graphics. A demonstration of how this is being used within Lightworks Artisan and Lightworks Author to accelerate rendering, can be seen on both the Lightworks booth (#225) and the Caustic Graphics booth (#211). Greg Whitfield, research & development director at Lightworks, will participate in the Intel Theatre, where he will be taking about the use of Intel tools to develop next-generation rendering on Wednesday.
