Tweak Software, makers of the RV image and sequence viewer for VFX and animation artists, is unveiling a new beta version of its playback tool at booth #1220, alongside integration partners Shotgun Software and PipelineFX. Shotgun Software, makers of production tracking systems, and PipelineFX, makers of Qube! renderfarm-management software for digital media creation, are sharing booth space with Tweak and demonstrating integration between Shotgun, Qube!, and RV. These integrated tools combine to address render farm management, production tracking and media review. VFX and CG animation studios use RV to playback and review digital media. RV’s toolset is built on an open, extensible architecture allowing users to adapt the software to their own pipelines and styles of working. RV’s new features include an intuitive drag-and-drop interface for mixing, matching, comparing, and laying out media for review and playback, expanded remote synchronization features for remote review, and more.
A few highlights from the RV 3.10 beta include:
• Create new Layouts, Stacks, and Sequences in the same RV session
• Stack or layout sequences for comparison or slap comps
• Add/Delete sources
• Re-order timeline, stacks, and layouts with drag/drop
• Mix sources with different frame rates (real-time pull-up/down)
• Re-time sources individually (stretch, squeeze, resample, offset)
• Create custom layouts
