(www.BenQ.us.), the Costa Mesa, CA-based provider of visual display solutions, has launched the engineer-calibrated PD2500Q designer monitor and the SW271 4K Adobe RGB color management photography monitor at SIGGRAPH 2017. The new monitors will be showcased alongside BenQ's line of displays, created for graphic design, photography, CAD/CAM, animation and video post professionals.

BenQ's PD2500Q 25-inch 2K QHD (2560x1440) LED IPS panel is the first monitor in the PD designer monitor series to be individually calibrated by factory engineers, bringing out fine details in clarity and depth to inspire design confidence. The custom calibration ensures 100 percent sRGB and Rec. 709 color gamut accuracy and meets Technicolor Color Certification and strict Delta-E and Gamma tolerances. The monitor's other custom features are also designed to deliver a seamless, accurate creative workflow, including CAD/CAM mode, animation mode and darkroom mode, each addressing specific creative requirements. The ultra-slim bezel is intended for dual-monitor setups and its 90-degree pivoting, height-adjustable stand was designed to enhance display productivity and versatility. The monitor features a comprehensive array of connectivity options to address the growing range of source devices and setups, including Multi-Stream Transport (MST) support, DisplayPort, mini DisplayPort, HDMI, USB 3.1 Gen1, headphone and audio ports.
The BenQ PD2710QC 100 percent sRGB and Rec. 709 monitor offers a range of features for creative professionals. It's designed to include a USB-C docking station for MacBook and PC users, allowing designers to charge devices, transfer data, transmit audio and video and connect to the internet, all through a single cable. Simultaneously delivering up to 61 watts of power to a laptop or mobile device, the 27-inch (2560x1440) IPS LED display's single 5-Gbps Super Speed USB-C connection powers its integrated hub and features multiple audio, video, network and USB ports, in addition to uncompressed crystal-clear 2K QHD video quality.
For graphic design creatives, the Technicolor Color-Certified 32-inch 4K UHD BenQ PD3200U monitor with workflow-efficient features is also on display. It features 10-bit color depth color, 100 percent sRGB and Rec. 709, giving designers a wide, one-billion-color-accurate palette to meet their artistic requirements. The panel expands the working space and offers a wider viewing angle (178 degrees in both horizontal and vertical planes) with clarity at all angles. Three premium display modes are tailor-made for designers to easily configure settings to best fit their preferences, including a dark room mode for dimmed environments, a CAD/CAM mode for superior image contrast and an animation mode, providing 10 levels of display brightness to enhance details in dark shadows.
Aimed at photographers, BenQ is is also showing its 27-inch SW271 4K UHD high dynamic range (HDR) monitor. Engineered for Adobe RGB color management accuracy and high dynamic range visualization, the SW271 ensures clarity of fine details and textures for an optimal viewing and visual-intensive work experience. According to the company, the monitor offers a greater range of color reproduction for shades of blue and green, and HDR capability. It’s also complemented by 10-bit color depth.
BenQ is also showing its 32-inch SW320 4K UHD HDR monitor, along with its 27-inch SW2700PT QHD display. Both the SW320 and SW2700PT offer 99 percent Adobe RGB, 100 percent sRGB and Rec. 709 spaces to deliver accurate color reproduction with easy-to-use tools for hardware calibration.
