Oklahoma City - PL Studios hosted more than 300 guests at Oklahoma's first 3December, an international event celebrating 3D and computer graphics. The event drew top industry professionals from Janimation, Vicon House of Moves, Reel FX, Tronic, Rhythm + Hues, Digital-Tutors, and Pixar, each of whom shared their professional and personal experiences working in the feature film, game, design, animation, and visual effects industries.
Held at Harkins Theatre in downtown Oklahoma City, 3December not only
provided an educational and inspirational experience for attendees but also
a sense of opportunity and growth for Oklahoma's creative community. The
packed auditorium was testament to the growing interest in computer graphics
in Oklahoma and the evolution of the current creative industry. Guest
speakers Anjelica Casillas of Rhythm + Hues and Scott Gagain of VICON House
of Moves discussed the potential economic growth for Oklahoma being involved
in the CG industry and the possible educational and business initiatives
needed in place to find success.
