Since its first year in 1991, Autodesk University has grown and is now reaching more than 150,000 attendees
Since its first year in 1991, Autodesk University has grown and is now reaching more than 150,000 attendees, both virtually and in person, and providing the experience of hands-on training with tools and techniques that help our customers experience ideas before they are real. Based on Autodesk’s 28 years of experience developing the software attendees use every day, Autodesk University is designed to give attendees personal experience learning from some of the world’s top instructors, Autodesk insiders, and industry experts; professional expertise/experience to benefit attendees’ companies and careers; the energizing experience of participating in a live event, in a world-class venue, and sharing ideas and insights with a community of peers.
Going Global, Going Virtual The first Autodesk University took place in San Francisco, and was hosted by Cadence Magazine. Since then, Autodesk has owned the event and it has grown into a worldwide movement. The company now has three live events in Las Vegas, China and Japan reaching more than 10,000 attendees combined; the firm expects to reach an additional 40,000 customers through Autodesk University Virtual; the Autodesk University Website has a membership of more than 100,000; and dozens of Autodesk’s training partners will host Autodesk University Extension events across the globe in 45 countries. More than half a million session handouts, presentations, datasets, podcasts and screencasts have been downloaded from the Autodesk University Website by Autodesk customers worldwide.
