Jonathan Nolan, known for his intricate plotting, deep character development, and exploration of complex themes such as time, memory, and identity, runs the award-winning Los Angeles-based production company Kilter Films with wife Lisa Joy and producing partner Athena Wickham.
First gaining widespread recognition for his collaboration with brother Christopher Nolan on the award-winning film Memento (2000), Nolan co-wrote the screenplays for
The Prestige (2006),
The Dark Knight (2008),
The Dark Knight Rises (2012), and
Interstellar (2014). He is also known for his critically acclaimed work in television as creator of
Person of Interest (2011-2016) and
Westworld (2016-present), and executive producer of
Fallout (2024-present).
