VIEW Conference 2024: Celebrating 25 spectacular years of creativity and innovation

An incredibly special event begins next week in the heart of Turin, Italy—the 25th anniversary of the VIEW Conference. Taking place from October 14th-19th, this unmissable program celebrates creative and technical achievements in visual effects, animation, game design, virtual production, immersive media, and much more. 
VIEW Conference 2024 will bring industry professionals, students, and enthusiasts together to explore their creative visions for the future. Offering an unrivaled English-language program of speakers, panels, workshops, and masterclasses, the conference immerses attendees in an inspiring, inclusive environment as they expand their industry knowledge, meet their heroes, and advance their careers. 

This year’s program features a stellar lineup of award-winning directors, VFX supervisors, animators, artists, game designers, and technical specialists from around the globe. “They are all true masters of their craft, and I know our international audience will relish the exciting opportunity to meet their heroes and learn from their wisdom and experience,” stated Conference Director Dr. Maria Elena Gutierrez, who makes the entire conference a reality thanks to her incredible hard work and dedication.


Ramsey Naito

Ramsey Naito—Oscar-nominated producer and president of Paramount Animation and Nickelodeon Animation—will receive this year’s coveted VIEW Visionary Award for her outstanding contribution to the visual arts. “Words cannot express how excited I am to present the 2024 VIEW Visionary Award to Ramsey Naito,” Dr. Gutierrez announced. “Ramsey’s contribution to animation throughout her career has been immeasurable, and she truly deserves this accolade.”

DreamWorks Animation’sThe Wild Robot is one of many high-profile features that will be spotlighted at the conference. Key members of the film’s creative team will be appearing in person, including director Chris Sanders, VFX supervisor Jeff Budsberg, and production designer Raymond Zibach. “I am thrilled to welcome Chris Sanders and his creative team to VIEW Conference 2024,” shared Dr. Gutierrez. “Chris’ reputation is nothing short of spectacular and I know his new animated feature The Wild Robot is going to blow us all away.”

The craftsmanship of short films will also be covered at this year’s conference. “I am equally excited to have so many talented animated short film directors on the VIEW Conference program, including the legendary Joseph Wallace and many more,” Dr. Gutierrez continued. “Without question, 2024 is shaping up to be a stellar year for animation and I am proud that VIEW Conference will be at the heart of it.”


Jonathan Nolan 

Acclaimed filmmakers Jonathan Nolan and Fede Alvarez—who have established themselves as two of the most innovative creators in the entertainment industry today—will both appear in person as keynote speakers this year. Conference attendees will have the exclusive opportunity to go behind the scenes of Alvarez’s storytelling process for Alien: Romulus and Nolan’s worldbuilding process for  FalloutWestworld, and  Person of Interest
